Taylor Jay The MUA will only allow the customer being serviced to enter our location for scheduled appointments. On site, appointments will follow the same guidelines. Please do not bring anyone else with you to your appointment. If you do, they will not be permitted to be present for the appointment.

Please review all policies carefully before booking. Booking with Taylor Jay The MUA confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

BOOKING & DEPOSITS

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments.

Your appointment time is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

    •    Deposits may be paid via card, Zelle, or other approved electronic payment methods

    •    Remaining balances may be paid via approved methods listed at booking

    •    Cash payments are accepted for the remaining balance only if previously approved

    •    Deposits go toward your total service cost

Important

Because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise approved by Taylor Jay The MUA.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel your appointment, at least 24 hours notice is required.

Cancellation Terms

    •    Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance may qualify for a partial refund of any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit

    •    Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will result in forfeiture of all monies paid

    •    No-call / no-shows will result in automatic cancellation and no refund

No Full Refund Policy

Once your appointment is booked, time, preparation, and scheduling are reserved specifically for you.

No full refunds will be issued.

LATE POLICY

Please arrive on time to your scheduled appointment.

    •    A grace period of 10 minutes may be allowed depending on the schedule

    •    If you are significantly late, your appointment may need to be:

    •    shortened,

    •    rescheduled,

    •    or canceled entirely

If your lateness causes cancellation or loss of service time, refunds will not be issued.

PRE-APPOINTMENT PREP

To ensure the best possible results, clients are expected to arrive makeup-ready for service.

Please arrive with:

    •    A cleanly washed face

    •    Skin free of makeup, heavy oils, and residue

    •    A freshly exfoliated face when possible

    •    Brows groomed if desired (recommended but not required)

Proper skin prep helps your makeup application look more flawless, last longer, and photograph beautifully.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

Your health and safety, as well as mine, are extremely important.

Please do NOT attend your appointment if you are:

    •    feeling sick

    •    getting sick

    •    experiencing fever

    •    coughing

    •    sneezing excessively

    •    dealing with flu-like symptoms

    •    knowingly exposed to a contagious illness

If you are unwell, please refer to the Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy.

Mask Policy

Clients are welcome to wear a protective face mask during their appointment if preferred.

For sanitation and client safety, proper hygiene and sanitation practices are maintained during services.

ALLERGIES / SKIN SENSITIVITY / CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

Clients are responsible for disclosing any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or reactions prior to their appointment.

This includes, but is not limited to:

    •    latex allergies

    •    adhesive sensitivities

    •    skincare reactions

    •    cosmetic allergies

    •    eye sensitivities

    •    active irritation, rashes, or skin conditions

By booking, the client understands and agrees that:

    •    Taylor Jay The MUA will use professional judgment and sanitation practices during the service

    •    the client accepts responsibility for disclosing all relevant skin/allergy information before service begins

Liability Notice

Taylor Jay The MUA is not liable for allergic reactions, irritation, or skin sensitivities resulting from undisclosed allergies, pre-existing skin conditions, or client product sensitivities.

If a reaction occurs, whether medical attention is required or not, the client understands that Taylor Jay The MUA shall not be held legally responsible or liable.

MAKEUP ARTIST AVAILABILITY / FORCE MAJEURE

Taylor Jay The MUA’s obligation to provide services is subject to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

    •    illness

    •    emergencies

    •    accidents

    •    severe weather

    •    transportation issues

    •    acts of God

    •    family emergencies

    •    other unforeseen circumstances

In the event of an unavoidable issue affecting service availability, reasonable efforts will be made to:

    •    reschedule the appointment,

    •    transfer the booking if applicable,

    •    or issue a refund at Taylor Jay The MUA’s discretion, excluding non-recoverable costs already incurred.

TRAVEL APPOINTMENT POLICY

Travel appointments are available for approved bookings.

Travel Terms

    •    Travel fees may apply based on:

    •    distance,

    •    location,

    •    parking,

    •    tolls,

    •    setup needs,

    •    and appointment timing

Travel Client Requirements

For mobile/travel services, the client must provide:

    •    a safe and clean environment

    •    adequate lighting

    •    a workable setup space (chair/table area if needed)

    •    access to the location at the agreed time

Taylor Jay The MUA reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if the environment is considered:

    •    unsafe,

    •    unsanitary,

    •    disruptive,

    •    or inappropriate for professional service.

HOME STUDIO / IN-HOME APPOINTMENT POLICY

For appointments taking place at Taylor Jay The MUA’s home studio / private location:

Guest Policy

Please do not bring extra guests to your appointment.

    •    Only the client being serviced should attend

    •    Guests are not permitted to wait, linger, or hang out

    •    Any extra person brought to the appointment may be asked to leave unless they are also being serviced

This policy helps maintain:

    •    privacy

    •    safety

    •    professionalism

    •    a calm working environment

MINOR CLIENT POLICY

Minor clients are welcome by appointment.

Parent / Guardian Policy

If the client is a minor:

    •    only one (1) parent or legal guardian is permitted

    •    the parent/guardian must remain respectful of the workspace and service flow

    •    siblings, friends, or extra family members are not permitted to accompany the minor unless approved in advance

Taylor Jay The MUA reserves the right to refuse service if:

    •    the environment becomes disruptive,

    •    policies are not respected,

    •    or the minor arrives without proper supervision when required.

PHOTO / VIDEO / CONTENT RELEASE

Taylor Jay The MUA may photograph or record portions of services before, during, or after appointments for professional and promotional use.

This may include:

    •    before/after photos

    •    makeup close-ups

    •    short video clips

    •    social media content

    •    educational or portfolio content

By booking, the client grants Taylor Jay The MUA permission to use images and/or video for:

    •    portfolio purposes

    •    website content

    •    promotional materials

    •    social media marketing

    •    educational content

    •    branding and advertising

Privacy Option

If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, this must be communicated before your appointment begins.

SERVICE SATISFACTION

Taylor Jay The MUA strives to ensure each client leaves satisfied with their service.

Clients are encouraged to communicate any reasonable adjustments during the appointment so concerns can be addressed in real time.

Once the appointment has ended and the client has left or approved the completed look, the service is considered accepted and complete.

Due to the nature of beauty services, refunds will not be issued once services have been rendered.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Taylor Jay The MUA reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time if a client:

    •    is disrespectful

    •    behaves inappropriately

    •    arrives under the influence

    •    creates an unsafe or unsanitary environment

    •    violates booking policies

    •    brings excessive guests after being advised not to

    •    engages in threatening, harassing, or disruptive behavior

In these situations, the appointment may be canceled immediately and no refund will be issued.

By booking an appointment with Taylor Jay The MUA, you acknowledge that you have:

    •    read all terms and conditions

    •    understood all booking and service policies

    •    agreed to comply with all policies listed above

Booking any service serves as your electronic agreement and acceptance of these terms.
